8號風球
今天星期四, 一早起床預備上班時，看到電視上的圖示，才知道原來8號風球。原本預備好的工作進行不了，到了中午，收到消息，知道明天的旅行也要取消了，相信很多同學也很失望吧。

「見多識廣」- 004 炒魷魚
今次會談談「炒魷魚」現今大家也知道「炒魷魚」是代表解僱，原來於煮生魷魚時，魷魚表面會收縮，令魷魚片捲起來，就是這個現象令人
於舊時的香港及廣東，很多外地人會離鄉別井到來工作，僱主會包食宿，他們會搬到工作的地方住，就像員工宿舍一樣，萬一被解僱，他們便要收拾一切家當離開，而最大的物件通常是一張床墊，為了方便，他們會用床墊把其他東西捲起來拿走。所以人們很怕失去工作，因為失業可能等於沒地方住。為了避免談及「解僱」一詞，通常會用「捲鋪蓋」（廣州話會講「執包伏」）代替。慢慢地，人們更利用「炒魷魚」時魷魚的形態來形容解僱。
這便是的來歷了。(Siu Chuen於 FACEBOOK 中給了很正確的答案呢~~)
P.S. 順帶一提，英文中，Sack (v.) 是解僱的口語，而 Sack (n.) 則代表袋子。看來「解僱」於中英文中也帶著「執包伏」的意思呢。

「見多識廣」- 003 不入流
今日會談談「不入流」的來源，今時今日，「不入流」可解作跟不上潮流或不為人所接受、難以「埋堆」，要解「不入流」，先要知道何為「入流」。「入流」，源自中國古代的官位制度，官位以品為稱號，一品為大官，二品次之，一直到九品，周星馳有部作品叫作《九品芝麻官》，便是諷刺九品官的官階細如芝麻。如官位於九品之內，稱為「流內」，九品官階之下，稱為「流外」。如果有人可以考到九品官或以上，便叫作「入流」
。
久而久之，有人把「入流」的「流」和「潮流」的「流」混淆了，便出了今天的「入流不入流」了。
下次談甚麼好呢？

「見多識廣」- 002 頂櫳
「頂櫳」，即是「最盡」或「極其量」。如今人人掛在口邊。例如:「我頂櫳食多兩個麵。」「借兩舊水比你，頂晒櫳喇!」
其實，「頂櫳」和「爆棚」都是來自看戲。「頂櫳」中的「櫳」原為「堂櫳」(讀 "燙櫳" ) 。即用木條做成的橫柵，就像我們現時的鐵閘，晚間作防盜之用的。
以前的戲院，除座位票之外，亦有企位，當人多入場，需要站到緊貼入口處，身體頂著堂櫳門時，這便是「頂櫳」了！
好了，相信大家也學會了，下次......講下「唔入流」吧~~

香港人口中說的廣東話，其實是十分有趣的，可是你對他又知多少呢？在這兒會有個名為「見多識廣」的新標籤，會談談大家會用到的廣府話的來源。有些真的很有趣啊！
今天會談的是「爆棚」，為甚麼會用「爆棚」而不用「爆屋」、「爆頂」呢？話說以前廣東人喜愛粵劇，戲班會到不同地方演戲，他們會用竹撘起臨時戲棚。如果戲目受歡迎，很多人來看，大家也擠到戲棚上時，戲棚的竹便有機會受不住壓力而爆開，所以便叫作「爆棚」了。
下次會談的是「頂櫳」。

Some Very Angry birds...

T-Mobile rexently setup a large version of "Angry Bird" in Barcelona.

Pixar: 25 Years of Animation 彼思動畫25年
剛去完了「彼思動畫25年」的展覽，
I've just been to the "Pixar: 25 Years of Animation" exhibition.
才發現原來我已經看了很多很多他們的作品
I discovered I have watched a lot of their works

I have two favourite movies
其中一段是「沖天奇兵 UP」中交待老頭子和太太一生的動畫
One is within the movie "UP", the part where Carl and his wife met.
而另一段，則是他們的短片「For the bird」

韓國手信 souvenir from Korea
今天忽然收到一個鄰班同學的一個小禮物
Today I received a present from a student from next class,
是她和哥哥復活節假期到韓國遊玩時買的
It's a souvenir from her Easter Korea trip.
其實本來這個假期我也想去韓國的
Actually, I planned to visit Korea thus holiday too.
但因一些事未能抽身
But I had something to do so I didn't go.

糖兄妹 Sugar Club
認識我的人均知道我一向很忙，所以有時候於工作時會聽歌，
People who know me, will know that I am always busy, so I like to listen to music sometime.
一直喜歡輕快的歌曲，可能因為工作已很大壓力，想輕鬆一下吧。
I prefer light and cheerful songs. Perhaps because I want to relax under the pressure from work.
所以我有留意「糖兄妹」這對組合 (Kandy + Sebastian)。他們的歌會讓人聽得很舒服。
Therefore, I noticed a group called "Sugar Club", their music is comforting.
可能是傳媒的偏好，所有的 MV 均由糖妹擔當主角，
Looking at their Music Videos, Kandy took the main role in most of them.
其實我想說糖兄的音樂功力真的很好，
What I want to say is please do not ignore Sebastian, since he has excellent talent.
作曲、編曲、填詞、演奏大多都一手包辦。

Cold Weather? 天氣很冷?
一月份的氣溫頗低,
January was a cold month,
但也低不過零度以下
But in Hong Kong, we don't get temperature below zero degree Celsius
記得有一段片段是把一杯熱水用天空潑出
I remembered there was a video, when some one splash some hot water in the air,
由於氣溫低的關係, 水會立刻結成冰霜，隨風飄散
The water will froze because of the cold weather.
