西貢海鮮 Seafood lunch in Sai Kung

今天約了朋友到西貢吃午餐
Today I went to Sai Kung for lunch,

西貢海鮮早已遠近馳名，但價錢差別很大
Sai Kung is famous for seafood, but the price can vary.

我們先到街市及船家處買海鮮
We first bought our seafood in wet market and from the fishermen,

再到餐廳讓廚師為我們加工
Then gave it to the restaurant to cook for us.

由於酒家是相熟的，所以收費並不昂貴
Since we knew the boss, so it wasn't too expensive.

看看這一讓我們吃了甚麼吧。

之後去旁邊的糖水店吃楊枝甘露

Coca Cola 可口可樂

昨天旅行，我穿了一件可口可樂的衣服

Yesterday I wore a Coca-Cola T-shirt

有小朋友說很有趣。

some children found it quite interesting.

其實我儲可樂已經很多年了。

Actually, I have been collecting Coca-Cola products for several years.

一般去旅行時，如果行李許可，

When I go abroad, if I ahve space in the luggage,

我會帶一些比較特別的可樂回家。

I will bring home some special Coca-Cola products.

而我的很多朋友到外地旅行回來，很多時手信也是幾瓶可樂。

Some of my friends also brings me Coca-Cola when they travel to other countries.

近年由於鋁罐比較麻煩。

Recently, handling aluminium cans has been more and more difficult,

所以只收集玻璃樽的了

So I focus more on glass bottle.

English Lesson: Gossip and Rumors

I saw a post in Facebook asking about the difference between "gossip" and "rumor".

剛看到 Facebook 有同學問到 "gossip" 和 "rumor" 的分別

So I think I will explain a little here.

我在這兒解說一下吧

"Gossip" is information about a person or something that's usually private and true.

"Gossip" 是一些關於人和事的資訊，大多數是私人和真實的。

"Rumor" usually start by mouth and the information are not necessarily true. This piece of information can be passed by word of mouth.

而 "rumor" 則解作傳聞。資訊不一定真確，而傳播途徑大多數為口傳口，所以有以訛傳訛的錯誤。

So in other words, "gossip" is true facts and "rumor" may not be true or no one knows if it is true.

簡單地說，"Gossip" 一般指鮮為人知的事實，"Rumor" 指不知是真是假的傳言。

大閘蟹第二回 hairy crab round 2

昨天剛吃過好朋友送的大閘蟹，
I had hairy crab for dinner yesterday.

正在回味的時候，另一班朋友打電話來
After the meal, my other friends called,

說已訂好了大閘蟹，
Said they have just ordered hairy crab.

結果，我一連兩晚也有蟹吃！
Therefore, I had crabs for two consecutive nights.

在 Facebook 內，有位老師要我發表試食報告
In Facebook, a teacher friend asked me to report on the tasting.

我的結論是：今年的蟹的確比較細小，價錢亦較貴，但質素不錯，不會太「水」
My conclusion: this year's crabs are smaller and more expensive in
general. But the quality is good.

夜戰默書簿 Marking dictations at night

今天早上默書，下午要出外開會。

We had dictation this morning, and I had a meeting in afternoon.

回到家，個人已經累到散了。

I was so tired when I got home.

但知道學生們會期望明天派默書簿

However, I know students will expect marked dictation to be handed to

them tomorrow.

所以唯有把簿帶回家改吧。

So I have to bring them home to mark them.

晚上10:20 ，終於完成！

It's now 10:20 and I finally finished marking...

可口可樂 Coca cola

今天晚上吃過晚飯後，忽然間很想喝可樂，結果......
Tonight, I feel like drinking coke after dinner. Therefore......

說起可樂，你知道汽水中的「氣」是甚麼氣體嗎？
Talking about Coke, do you know what kind of gas is that?

下午茶中 tea time

手鈴表演完成了，算是成功吧。我和老師們把學生送回校後，現在在和老師們在下午茶中，你知道我們在哪一間茶餐廳嗎？
The handbells performance has finished. It went quite well. I am now
having tea with teachers. Do you know which restaurant we are in?

救世軍80周年巡遊 S.A. 80th anniversary celebration

今天一早便到黃大仙進行救世軍80周年的巡遊。
I went to Wong Tai Sin early this morning for the SA 80th anniversary
celebration.

我和一些老師們負責代表教育服務部
Our teacher represent Education unit.

我還見到Teresa Lai 和卜上尉呢。
I also saw Teresa Lai and Captain Pu

下午有音樂會，我們學校會出手鈴隊呢。
There will be a concert in the afternoon. Our school's hand belt team will also perform.

Buffet in Novotel

今天是公眾假期，所以到了東薈城的Novotel Essence 食自助午餐。食物一般吧，甜品倒是十分精美。

吃壽司 Sushi dinner

今天由於要到沙田進行救世軍 80 週年音樂會的採排工作，

Today I need to help with the rehearsal of S.A. 80th Anniversary Music show

所以並不能回校教學，同學們乖嗎?

So I cannot attend the class, did you behave?

工作約於 5:30 完成，之後和一些老師們

Work finished at about 5:30.

到了荃灣的壽司店食壽司。

Then I had sushi dinner with some teachers.

有一段日子沒有吃壽司了，但這店子的食物好像水準下降了

HAven't had sushi for sometime, but I had a feeling that this shop's quality has fallen.

有一件壽司我們放久了，吃起來乾乾的，壽司還是趁早吃的好。

We left one piece of sushi for sometime, and it dried out quite quickly.

所以我有點怕吃迴轉位，

That's why I don't like sitting at the conveyor belt

因為有一些壽司真的在迴轉有上轉了很久很久......

because you don't know how long have the sushi been left there.
